Asian Inspired Turkey Bowls

Asian Inspired Turkey
This flavor rich recipe works with any ground meat or tofu
Ingredients
- 3 lbs ground turkey
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos can sub GF Soy Sauce
- 3 TBSP honey can sub xylitol to decrease sugar
- 3 tsp fresh ginger finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes adjust or omit for spice preference
Instructions
- In a large heavy bottomed pan, brown the turkey. Drain liquid if desired. I usually scoop out part of the liquid with ladle.
- Add garlic and ginger to turkey and sauté on medium heat until fragrant.
- Decrease heat to low. Add honey, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil and cook while stirring until flavors blend.
- Serve over rice or shredded cabbage. Top with pickled onions, peanut sauce, and cilantro.
